Description

We’re looking for two people to help create welcoming beverage and social experiences at Bookarest. You’ll assist with bar service at hostel socials and selected Ferra Mobile Bar events, serving both alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks. You’ll meet travellers from different cultures, share experiences and enjoy Malta in your free time. We’re looking for friendly, responsible people who are keen to learn about hospitality and beverage service. The schedule is around 4 hours a day, 5 days a week, with 2 days off. Event shifts are arranged in advance and count within the agreed hours. A 6–8 week stay is ideal; 4 weeks is the minimum. Applicants must be 18+.

What needs doing

01Set up the beverage station with glassware, ice and garnishes
02Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, including cocktails, spritzers, beer, wine, Prosecco, mocktails and soft drinks
03Follow the approved menu, recipes and responsible-service procedures
04Welcome guests and help create a friendly, social atmosphere
05Keep the bar and service area clean during and after events
06Wash glassware and help reset the area after service
07Check beverage supplies and report low stock
08When scheduled, assist with Ferra Mobile Bar setup, service and breakdown
09Check guests’ age when required and refer concerns to the supervisor
